team. Though I was initially hired as an Electronic Engineer, I was frequently handed more
responsibilty in managerial and project focused roles. Led the team that brought the company’s
flagship product to market in late 2019. Implemented and managed a Scrum framework for
the software development team. Helped to set up and maintain the Quality Assurance and
Continuous Integration platform for a linux-based smart home gateway.

I joined the company in July 2015 as a summer placement, and was invited in September to continue and complete a full year. Though I declined this offer, I returned during the breaks from my studies to continue working on ongoing projects.

The bulk of my time was spent attached to a small (<5 people) research and development team within the office working on a novel design for a solid-state microwave amplifier. My responsibilities included overseeing the design, manufacture and test of control and power distribution circuit boards. At times I was required to design and set up bespoke test equipment and jigs for use in testing the finished boards.

While working on this project I became familiar with a number of CAD tools, especially EasyPC and Altium Designer - popular PCB design tools. Altium designer was relatively new to the company, and towards the end of my placement I was asked to help manage the transition from EasyPC (the older package).
